For the fourth time this international competition for students of many medical professions will take a place during Annual Meeting of SESAM 2017 in Paris/France.

During this event winners of national medical simulation contests from many different countries will have a chance to compete against each other in challenging and very interesting simulated clinical scenarios.

Teams are expected to be composed of current students of many medical professions, like medicine, nursing, paramedics etc. They will have to manage not only high-fidelity human patient simulators but also some standardised patients (SPs). Each team will be expected to take history, perform a full physical examination and introduce an appropriate treatment to their patients. Apart from this communication, leadership, teamwork and crisis resources management will be evaluated by a panel of an international judges.

A big success of the Polish Society of Medical Simulation! The 2nd SimOlympics competition at SESAM 2015 in Belfast were organized by Polish team. The Baylor College of Medicine was first and the Kraków Jagiellonian University was second. Congratulations!

PL. Wielki sukces Polskiego Towarzystwa Symulacji Medycznej! Zawody SimOlympics na Europejskiej Konferencji Symulacji Medycznej SESAM 2015 w Belfast zostały w całości przeprowadzone przez Polaków. Z przyjemnością zawiadamiany, że wygrał zespół z Baylor College of Medicine z USA a drugie zajął zespół z Krakowa! Gratulacje!  

Final was in Belfast 26. June 2015 at SESAM Conference. There are teams from Poland. Ireland, Holland, France and USA competing. 24. June 16.00 – 17.30  SO Stage 1  (Main Auditorium) 25. June 15:45 - 17:00   SO Stage 1  (Main Auditorium) 26. June 10.45 – 12.15 Sim Olympics Final (Main Auditorium) SimOlimpic Games, scope: Games cases involve the entire healthcare team in the management of a critically ill patient. The teams are evaluated on the basis of their communication, teamwork, decision-making, situation awareness, task management and outcomes. It is the perfect opportunity to put your learning into practice! Composition of teams: teams must be composed of a team leader plus three or four team members. All team members must be medical students. Auxiliary personnel will be involved in scenario.
